Job summary

RTX’s Radar Digital Product Line in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, implement, and optimize embedded C++ DSP software for tactical radar systems. You will work across high-performance CPU and GPU platforms in an embedded Linux environment, solving complex real-time challenges.

The role requires a degree in STEM and 5+ years of software, with DoD Secret clearance eligibility and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Scrum teams to design, develop, and maintain embedded C++ DSP software for radar systems.
• Translate radar system requirements into real-time software in embedded Linux environments.
• Conduct software integration testing, troubleshoot defects, and drive root-cause analysis.
• Develop automation scripts (Python, Bash, or Perl) for testing pipelines and system integration.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide code reviews and architectural decisions.
