Job summary

Raytheon’s Radar Digital Product Line (RDPL) in Fullerton, California, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our embedded C++ DSP team working on tactical radar systems. This 100% on-site role offers exposure to real-time processing, Linux environments, and cross-functional collaboration with Scrum teams.

You will design, implement, and test software across high-performance CPU and GPU platforms, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architecture decisions while maintaining DoD

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of experience.
• 5+ years in software engineering, real-time DSP for radar/RF domains.
• Proficiency in C++ and Object-Oriented Design.
• Experience with Linux development, DevSecOps tools, and scripting for automation.
• Experience debugging complex software issues.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Scrum teams to design, develop, and maintain embedded C++ DSP software for radar systems.
• Translate requirements into real-time software within embedded Linux environments.
• Perform Software Integration Testing, troubleshoot defects, and drive root-cause analysis.
• Develop automation scripts for testing pipelines, log analysis, and integration tasks.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide technical planning and code reviews.
