Qualifications

• One year of continuous work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to weld aluminum and steel utilizing wire feed welder.
• Forklift license required.
• Must read blueprints and sketch 3D drawings.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to pass basic welding and mechanical tests.
• Proficient with tape measure and basic math.
• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain material inventory for racks and related components.
• Construct and build racks from prototype drawings (cutting, welding).
• Complete engineering changes to rack fleets as required.
• Assist in disposal of obsolete racks (ship, tear down).
• Repair and maintenance of racks and containers.
• Operate shop equipment (drill press, band saw, welder, plasma torch).
• Document activities and submit cost reduction ideas.
• Travel as required; overtime may be needed.
• Keep a clean, safe work area and participate in continuous improvement.
