Job summary

Alkar-RapidPak, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a Welder B to join our fabrication team. You will join and fabricate metal components, interpret engineering drawings, and select welding techniques to ensure product integrity.

The role requires experience reading blueprints, setting up multiple welding processes, and adhering to safety and quality standards. Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential in this fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

Graduate of technical school, a full apprenticeship program, or completion of in‑company four‑year training program to the satisfaction of the plant training committee.
Ability to read job orders, blueprints, and specifications.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret drawings and cutting lists as required.
Wire feed weld with appropriate settings for horizontal, vertical, and overhead welds.
HeliArc weld with appropriate settings for horizontal, vertical, and overhead welds, with or without filler rod.
Set up and operate the Seam welder efficiently and safely.
Set up and operate the Bug-O-welder efficiently and safely.
Set up and operate the Stud Gun welder efficiently and safely.
Set up and operate the Spot welder efficiently and safely.
Set up and operate the PlasArc efficiently and safely.
Operate a variety of shop hand tools safely and correctly.
Adhere to company quality and efficiency goals and safety guidelines.
