Job summary

Rumpke of Ohio, Inc. in Indiana is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator to repair containers and compactors, fabricate steel components, and assist with installations in a shop and field setting.

You will perform MIG, ARC, and plasma welding, operate cutting torches, and maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards. This role demands physical ability and a willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• One year welding and cutting experience or completion of a technical training program.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; technical training in welding preferred.
• Ability to operate a forklift/skid steer safely.
• Knowledge of MIG/ARC and stick welding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, fabrication, and repair of containers and compactors.
• Grind metal parts after welding.
• Weld steel using MIG and ARC welding equipment.
• Fabricate steel components on containers.
• Install lids, wheels, and lock setups.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area per standards.
• Complete required paperwork using computer systems.
• Assist with compactor installations and other shop tasks.
