Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Lexington, KY seeks an Industrial Service Technician to repair and maintain containers and fleet equipment. You will perform grinding, welding, plasma cutting and on-site hydraulic/electrical work, with preventive maintenance and safety checks as required.

Must have a valid DOT medical card, be 19+, and able to travel to customer sites. Strong welding, electrical knowledge, and tool proficiency are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or obtain prior to hire.
• At least 19 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• No more than 3 moving violations in the last 2 years.
• No DUIs/OVIs within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
• Ability to travel to customer sites and work flexible hours, including overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform grinding, cutting, welding and fabrication on containers and equipment.
• On-site repairs at customer locations including hydraulic and electrical work.
• Detail inspections and preventative maintenance on fleet equipment.
• Operate plasma cutter, torch, MIG/ARC welding equipment and related tools.
• Complete safety checks and required paperwork in company systems.
• Travel to customer sites for repairs and follow up, with coordination on scheduling.
