Boston Scientific is seeking a hands-on Research & Development Technician Associate for the Interventional Cardiology division in Maple Grove. The role supports projects from exploratory research to new product development, including next‑generation single-use and capital equipment devices.

The Technician Associate Program lasts six months, starting in mid-May, with full-time hours during summer and potential part-time during the academic year for students, ensuring ongoing feedback and growth.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one year of a two-year technical degree program or recently graduated with a two-year technical degree.
• Pursuing or recently earned an Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Automated Systems & Robotics, or related fields.
• Must be available for full six-month program, mid‑May through mid‑November.
• Must be able to work on-site five days per week in Maple Grove, MN.

Responsibilities

• Procure components for tasks under R&D staff direction.
• Analyze and resolve design problems related to device and prototype performance.
• Design, fabricate, and prototype new device concepts.
• Develop new test methods for in vitro device testing.
• Assist product development teams with device design and testing.
• Debug and interpret electrical schematics; solder circuitry; use oscilloscope, multimeter, and LCR meter.
• Plan and schedule own activities to meet timelines.
