Job summary
A medical device company in Maple Grove, MN is seeking an R&D Technician II for hands-on development work, including prototype manufacturing of innovative medical devices. The ideal candidate will have an associate's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, along with strong technical aptitude. Responsibilities include improving existing designs, testing, and maintaining equipment, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications
3+ years of experience in medical device development and/or manufacturing.
Experience in a medical device or regulated R&D environment preferred.
Hands-on experience with mechanical/electrical assembly.
Responsibilities
Take existing designs and work on design and process improvements.
Document processes and build instructions clearly.
Install, operate, and maintain medical device assembly and testing equipment.
Inspect and document components for product development builds.
Assist in product functional and performance testing.
Skills
Familiarity with medical device development lifecycle
Strong technical aptitude
Proficiency in lab tools and measurement equipment
Basic computer skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Education
Associate's or equivalent degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering
Tools
Microsoft Office Suite
Measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers)
