Job summary

Siemens's Electrification and Automation division invites students to join a 12-week Research & Development Simulation Engineering Internship in Raleigh, NC. You will work on geometry simplification, NX-based design, and sensor-simulation collaboration in a hands-on, impact-driven setting.

Qualified candidates are pursuing a B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, have NX/Creo/SolidWorks experience, and can commit to on-site work for 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with 3D modeling tools (Creo, NX, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Ability to work on-site full-time (40 hours per week) for the 12-week summer internship.
• Eligible candidates must be located within 50 miles of Wendell, NC, as relocation is not provided.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• This internship is a structured experiential learning program for individuals currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program; continuing enrollment is required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting geometry simplification of standard mechanical assemblies to improve simulation performance and turnaround time.
• Simplifying and preparing 3D designs in NX for use in simulation workflows.
• Supporting mechanical design activities within NX to enable simulation and analysis efforts.
• Collaborating with sensor simulation engineers to support simulation requests and design updates.
• Assisting with organization and documentation of simulation-ready models and design files.
