Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Project Manager to join the Advanced Research team in Niskayuna, NY, supporting a portfolio of 5–10 research projects focused on robotics and computer vision. You will define lifecycles, track milestones, handle procurement and budgets, and serve as the operational partner to project leaders.

This role emphasizes coordinating non-technical work, ensuring documentation is accurate, and communicating progress to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Operations, Project Management) and minimum 2 years of project management experience in a research/engineering environment.
• Candidates with a Master’s degree will be considered with at least 1 year of experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US and willing to work on-site in Niskayuna, NY.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of 5–10 research projects with detailed plans, Gantt charts, and milestone tracking.
• Partner with Project Leaders to handle procurement, staffing logistics, and budget health monitoring.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, budget overruns, and scheduling bottlenecks.
• Serve as primary point of contact for stakeholders and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Assist in preparing project reports and performance summaries for internal and external audiences.
