GE Vernova, Inc. seeks a Research Engineer in Robotics & Autonomous Systems to drive concepts, design, and deployment of robotic solutions for energy transition.

You will collaborate across Advanced Research, GE Vernova businesses, and external partners, defining architectures, validating in field and production settings, and mentoring teams. This role requires strong electro-mechanical design, software integration, and test execution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline with robotics design experience.
• MS with at least 3 years of robotics design experience.
• BS with at least 5 years of robotics design experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop new robotics and autonomy concepts with strategic impact across electromechanical, pneumatic/hydraulic, and perception systems.
• Lead projects, proposals, and the development of new autonomous/robotic systems tech.
• Design, select, analyze, and test electromechanical components and systems including sensors, actuators, controllers, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Participate in design, architecture, and development efforts across teams.
• Engage with internal/external thought leaders to drive new concepts and applications.
