Job summary

JAMCO AMERICA, INC. is seeking a Mechanical Assembler Build Specialist for R&D prototype work and production support.

You will build concept mockups and functional prototypes under supervision, working with a diverse engineering team from concept to finished product. The role involves assembling R&D products, interpreting 2D drawings and 3D MBD, using various hand tools and equipment, and maintaining quality while collaborating with engineers to solve problems.

Qualifications

• Basic job-related courses or training required.
• Ability to read 2D drawings and interpret 3D MBD.
• Proficiency with hand tools and shop equipment.
• Willingness to undergo background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assemble R&D products including concept mockup, spatial mockup, functional prototype, test articles, and high-end show mockup.
• Performs a variety of moderate to complex production assembly operations.
• Reads and interprets 2D drawings and 3D MBD to assemble products and sub-assemblies.
• Uses a variety of hand tools or production equipment; cross-trained in shop processes.
• Maintains high quality and troubleshoots with engineers to solve problems.
• Tracks build status and maintains build schedule based on scope and BOM.
• Keeps the shop clean, organized and safe.
