Summary
Responsible for building R&D prototypes, mockups, and products with direction of shop supervisor. Work with a diverse engineering and build team to perform a variety of tasks to support innovative product developments from concept through production.

Level Definition
Level I
Under close supervision trains to assemble and rework units in a production environment. Utilizes visual aids, drawings, and oral/written instructions to assemble products.
This is the entry levelassembler position with no experience required.
Level II
Will perform a variety of moderately complex production assembly operations. Can read diagrams, drawings, and work orders. Will use diagrams/drawings/work orders along with oral/written instructions to assemble products and sub-assemblies with occasional supervision. Effectively uses a variety of hand tools or production equipment. Does basic troubleshooting and problem solve. Is cross trained in many of the area processes. Has a basic understanding of using BMS, BAC, JMS and other types of specifications?
This is the intermediate levelassembler position typically requiring 1 year of assembly experience.
Will perform a variety of moderate to complex production assembly operations with little to no supervision. Can read, understand, utilize diagrams, drawings, work orders, and oral/written instructions to assemble products and sub-assemblies. Proficient in the use of a variety of hand tools or production equipment. Is cross trained in many of the shop processes. Has an advanced knowledge and understanding of using BMS, BAC, JMS and other types of specifications? Is trained in all area processes. Maintains and consistently outputs a high level of quality/craftsmanship. Does basic troubleshooting and problem solving and works with Planners and Engineers to solve problems.
This is the advanced levelassembler position typically requiring 2 or more years of assembly experience.
Meets all Level III requirements. Has in-depth knowledge of all jobs within the area and can fill in for other department personnel. Can, within reason, answer questions and advise other employees regarding job duties and expectations. Is able to
perform basic training and monitoring of new employee performance. Has basic ability to plan, organize, and delegate work. Responsible for smaller jobs or projects. Maintains a high level of quality/craftsmanship.
This is the senior levelassembler position typically requiring 3 or more years of related experience.
