Micro Matic USA, Inc. is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician to assist in manufacturing prototype assemblies of new products or revisions. You will work with engineers to discuss design, capacity and material choices, and plan layouts from specifications and drawings.
The role emphasizes high quality craftsmanship and meeting the assigned schedule. You will interpret written and verbal instructions, perform assembly tasks, and contribute to testing and final assembly activities.
Assists with the manufacturing of Prototype Assemblies of new products or new revision of existing products. The primary goals will be high quality/craftsmanship and keeping to the assigned schedule (OTD). Discusses product information, such as design, capacity and purpose, and types of material to be used to fabricate product, with engineer and other personnel. Assesses written specifications, drawings, rough sketches, and verbal instructions to plan layout and determine sequence of operations.
Ability to read, write, convey and understand instructions.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but structured written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Eye protection and safety shoes are mandatory for this job.
