Job summary

Johnsonville is seeking a Summer 2027 R&D Product Development Intern in the Tech Center to contribute to packaging engineering and sensory/customer insights projects. You will join a cross-functional team, support product development, and help evaluate sensory characteristics of multiple designs.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience, collaboration, and a culture that fosters growth. Requires Pursuing Meat Science or Food Science degree with 3.5 GPA and willingness to travel occasionally.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Meat Science or Food Science; junior or senior status preferred.
Minimum GPA of 3.5 strongly preferred.
Lab experience and relevant coursework in Meat Science or Food Science.

Responsibilities

Develop Project Vision, Objective(s), Scope, and Deliverables.
Plan project activities and develop timelines.
Work on cross-functional teams and work independently.
Assist in pilot plant trials and plant trials.
Maintain accurate and complete work records such as a notebook and status reports.
Share ideas, questions, problems, and results with team members.
