Job summary

Johnsonville Sausage, LLC is seeking a summer intern for its Research and Development - Product Development group at the Tech Center in Wisconsin. You will assist in developing and evaluating new product platforms, line extensions and improvements, while participating in cross-functional teams across sensory, marketing, engineering, and manufacturing.

The program emphasizes hands-on pilot plant work, meticulous record keeping, and a drive for excellence.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Meat Science or Food Science from an accredited university (junior/senior preferred).
• GPA 3.5 minimum strongly preferred.
• Lab experience preferred; prior work experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Develop Project Vision, Objective(s), Scope, and Deliverables.
• Plan project activities and develop timelines.
• Work on cross-functional teams and work independently.
• Assist in pilot plant trials and plant trials.
• Maintain accurate and complete work records such as a notebook and status reports.
• Share ideas, questions, problems, and results with team members.
