Job summary

Campbell Soup Company is seeking creative, energetic students for six-month co-op positions on our Research & Development Process Engineering team at the World Headquarters in Camden, NJ. The program offers mentorship, hands-on projects, and exposure to iconic brands across Campbell’s portfolio.

Participants will work 40 hours per week, contributing to data analysis, process improvements, and documentation, while developing skills for a future career in food science and engineering.

Qualifications

• Full-time undergraduate or graduate students in Chemical Engineering or related program.
• Returning to school for at least one semester after the co-op.
• Completed at least one semester of core Chemical Engineering or related courses.
• Ability to learn quickly and work well independently and in a team.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Must be able to commute to Camden, NJ 5 days a week.
• Willingness to handle all food types including common allergens.

Responsibilities

• Uncover potential solutions to technical challenges through the application of experimental designs and data analysis.
• Data collection and analysis to monitor quality and resolve process issues.
• Assist in commercialization and/or process improvement trial coverage.
• Assist in capital and cost savings project work.
• Complete documentation / standard operating procedure updates.
• Collaborate with immediate and cross-functional team members.
• Lead a project and present results to the R&D organization upon completion.
