ABB is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to Elastimold MV switchgear R&D. You will use Creo to develop 3D/2D designs and production drawings, support BOMs, and help source components. You will ensure designs meet quality, cost, and manufacturability standards while addressing project risks.

The role requires 2–5 years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience, strong documentation skills, and effective English communication within a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical engineering required or equivalent.
• 2–5 years in mechanical engineering focusing on sheet metal and fabrication.
• Proficiency with Creo for 3D/2D design and BOMs.
• Experience with assembly drawings and production use.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to Elastimold MVSDR&D teams, aligning with customer needs.
• Develop robust mechanical designs meeting cost and manufacturability goals.
• Create design concepts and production drawings in Creo; assist sourcing and docs.
• Help meet project targets for quality, schedule, scope and cost; identify risks.
• Perform structural analysis and computer simulations to validate designs.
