Job summary

RESA Power is seeking a skilled mechanical designer to develop and release drawings for low voltage switchgear and related assemblies. You will work with Electrical Engineers to integrate layouts, bill of materials, and fabrication input.

The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD (and SolidWorks/In Inventor) and the ability to interpret customer specifications while delivering accurate, production-ready designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of combined experience.
• High-level AutoCAD competency; Inventor or similar software a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Ability to interpret complex problems and work independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Design of low/medium voltage switchgear, MCC’s and associated mechanical layout and drawings.
• Develop and update mechanical approval drawings based on design reviews and customer comments.
• Use AutoCAD and/or 3D SolidWorks to create all drawings.
• Provide technical assistance to fabrication and assembly shop as needed.
• Release drawings to support production schedule and delivery.
