Job summary

Schreiber Foods in Green Bay, Wisconsin seeks an Research and Development Technician to independently coordinate day-to-day R&D support activities, including shelf-life evaluation, sensory support, and lab readiness. The role operates under moderate supervision, ensures accurate records, and communicates progress to R&D partners.

Based at our Home Office in Green Bay, the technician will perform tasks on-site five days per week, maintain lab safety standards, and support sample preparation,

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant science field.
• Basic prior experience in a laboratory, pilot plant, or manufacturing environment.
• Foundational knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices and food safety principles.
• Ability to follow established procedures, document work accurately, and execute tasks with attention to detail.
• Basic proficiency with pH meters.
• Experience with laboratory management, sensory and shipping software is desirable.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills within a team.

Responsibilities

• Execute the shelf-life workflow by handling samples and maintaining complete traceable records.
• Compile and review sensory data reports and distribute results to R&D partners.
• Assist Sensory scientist by ordering and preparing samples for panels and trainings.
• Calibrate and maintain pH probes and related equipment.
• Ship samples to customers and plant locations.
• Communicate observations and risks to R&D partners and recommend solutions.
