Job summary

You will work with R&D, Operations, and Quality to develop test methods, execute testing, analyze results, and ensure equipment supports Lavelle's commitment to quality and innovation. The role offers opportunities to design testing plans, contribute to continuous improvement, and gain exposure to rubber and plastics product testing within Lean

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Mechanical Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 0–5 years in a laboratory, testing, manufacturing, or related technical environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with standard work procedures and test setup preferred.
• Familiarity with durability, vibration, flow, sound, or endurance testing is a plus.
• Strong data collection and attention to detail; good cross-department collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop test procedures with R&D, Operations, and Quality; perform testing and communicate results.
• Conduct functional and performance testing on products and components.
• Execute testing per industry standards, customer specifications, and internal requirements.
• Design, develop, and monitor testing plans to support customer and business needs.
• Collect, summarize, and analyze data to prepare reports and technical documentation.
• Support new product development through qualification and validation testing.
• Troubleshoot product and process issues through testing and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, calibration schedules, and lab organization.
