Job summary

The GMP Group is seeking an R&D Lab Technician in Pioneer, West Region. This full-time role offers hands-on exposure to laboratory testing, material evaluation and product development within a growing advanced materials company.

You will work closely with experienced R&D, Quality and Manufacturing teams to conduct experiments, analyze data and document results, contributing to ongoing product improvements and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in materials science, chemistry, polymer science or related field.
• 2–5 years of laboratory/R&D experience in materials or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to handle laboratory equipment and testing instruments confidently.
• Basic understanding of materials, chemistry or polymer processing.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with prototype evaluation, laboratory testing and product trials.
• Prepare samples, conduct experiments and record test results and observations.
• Perform basic data analysis and support evaluation of product performance.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain routine laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Maintain accurate test records, laboratory documentation and technical reports.
• Contribute to developing or improving test methods and procedures.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality and Manufacturing teams on product development and troubleshooting.
• Support SAP updates, documentation and laboratory housekeeping.
• Participate in improvement projects and other R&D activities as needed.
