Job summary

ABB’s NEMA Motors Division is seeking a Lab Technician to set up and run product tests on electric motors, document procedures, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. You will work onsite in Greenville, performing wiring, assembly, and test runs with dynamometers and measurement systems.

The role requires a bachelor’s or associate degree in engineering-related fields with hands-on lab experience, strong documentation skills, and ability to operate lab equipment safely;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (engineering) with 4+ years related experience.
• Associate’s degree in Mechatronics or Electronics with 6+ years.
• High school diploma with 8+ years in hands-on lab/electrical role including 2+ years in related lab work.

Responsibilities

• Set up, configure, and maintain laboratory test equipment and systems.
• Perform electrical and mechanical testing of motors per standardized plans and regulatory requirements.
• Document test procedures and results accurately.
• Maintain safety and environmental compliance and required operator certifications.
