ABB in Bloomfield, CT is seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to execute high‑power electrical tests in a fast-paced lab. You will support global R&D teams with test requests, operate advanced test equipment, and document results to ensure quality and compliance.

The role emphasizes electro‑mechanical expertise, strict safety protocol adherence, and collaboration across multiple ABB product teams in the Americas.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
• 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Must read electrical schematics and understand electricity theory.
• Experience with UL, CSA, IEC testing standards is desired.
• Proficient PC skills including MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D teams to carry out test requests for electrical/high‑power components.
• Perform R&D and compliance testing using standard and specialized equipment.
• Prepare and operate test equipment, including calibration and dielectric tests.
• Document test data and produce technical reports.
• Maintain test records and manage the test queue.
• Adhere to ABB safety protocols and maintain lab organization.
