Job summary

Jazz Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Senior Director, Head of R&D Governance and Portfolio Management to lead governance forums and portfolio prioritization across Discovery/Research to Late-Stage Development. Qualifications

Experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology R&D governance, program management, portfolio management, or strategy operations.
Thorough end-to-end knowledge of global drug discovery, preclinical development, clinical phases, and regulatory interactions.
Experience creating and running senior-level R&D governance committees in mid-to-large biopharma organizations.
Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to documentation, minutes, and decision tracking.

Responsibilities

Architect, lead, and optimize R&D governance committees across discovery through late-stage development and registration.
Oversee end-to-end meeting mechanics: cadences, agendas, pre-reads, minutes, action tracking.
Partner with Corporate Strategy, Finance, and executive teams to align program funding with strategic goals.
Drive annual pipeline prioritization, resource integration, and milestone-based decision-making.
Coach teams for governance readiness and maintain a single source of truth for decisions and contingencies.
