Job summary

ServiceTitan is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A (R&D) to be the finance partner to our R&D leadership, driving monthly close, forecasting, and strategic analysis. You’ll turn data into actionable narratives and help shape how the business grows with data-driven recommendations.

You will collaborate across teams, support autonomous problem solving, and leverage AI tools to accelerate insights while maintaining clarity for both finance and non-finance audiences.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in a relevant field with strong academic performance.
• 3–5 years in FP&A, strategic finance, or related analytical role preferably at a high growth technology company.
• Experience in financial modeling and strategic business planning, including the creation and execution of robust financial plans.
• Comfortable solving problems and operating with autonomy in a fast-moving ambiguous environment.
• Strong understanding of FP&A fundamentals (variance analysis, variance storytelling, budgeting, forecasting, headcount management, reporting).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to both finance and non-finance audiences.
• AI-forward - you actively use AI tools to work faster and go deeper.

Responsibilities

• Drive the monthly close process: understand monthly performance, variance commentary, accruals, and raise risks/opportunities to finance and R&D leadership.
• Manage headcount and expense planning: support monthly forecasts and annual operating plan to translate business needs into forecasts.
• Turn data into decisions: master the P&L to diagnose drivers, shape narratives, and perform ad hoc analyses for high impact results.
• Be a trusted business partner: provide data-driven recommendations on budget and strategic trade-offs.
• Leverage AI and drive process improvements: identify areas to automate and accelerate team work.
