Job summary

BeOne Medicines is seeking a strategic R&D FP&A leader to drive financial planning, monthly close, consolidation, and executive reporting for global R&D. You will evaluate pipeline investments and provide scenario analysis to guide project transitions.

You will partner across R&D, Commercial, and Finance with senior leadership, build automated models and dashboards, and support long-range planning while ensuring accurate variance commentary and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of FP&A or finance experience in biotech, pharma, or life sciences
• Experience supporting global R&D function
• Experience managing R&D or clinical development budgets
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and long-range planning
• Pipeline valuation and portfolio analytics experience
• Ability to translate complex data into executive insights
• Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration

Responsibilities

• Lead quarterly forecasting and monthly reporting for R&D; consolidate program submissions and provide leadership updates
• Prepare executive-ready reports, budget vs actual analyses, and risk/opportunity summaries
• Support global R&D planning, budgeting, and long-range planning
• Conduct pipeline valuations and scenario modeling to inform investments
• Partner with R&D, Commercial, Finance, and other departments for governance reviews
• Maintain and enhance financial models, dashboards, and tracking templates
• Drive process efficiency with automation and modern financial tools
