Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. (SARA) is seeking an Engineering Technician in Colorado Springs, CO. The role focuses on general engineering, lab support, and Electrical work for testbeds and installations.

You will assist engineers, help prototype Pulsed Power projects, and ensure projects stay on schedule. Applicants should have an electrical/electrician background, strong organizational skills, and the ability to travel 4–6 weeks annually.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4–8 years of relevant technical experience (or higher education in lieu of experience).
• Willing to travel up to 4–6 weeks per year for testing or customer requirements.
• Electrical/electrician background or equivalent on-the-job experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance.
• Clean driving record and ability to obtain DOT medical certification.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• General engineering and maintenance support.
• Lab assistance including setup, diagnostics, infrastructure, fixtures, testing and tear down of projects.
• Support prototyping and testing of Pulsed Power and Directed Energy projects as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers and teams to keep projects on schedule.
• Electrical work for testbeds and off-site installations: wiring, conduits, panels, terminations, blueprints, UPS systems, transfer switches, safety.
