Job summary

Mentor Worldwide L.L.C., part of the Johnson & Johnson family, is recruiting R&D Engineering Co‑Op positions for the Spring 2027 semester in Raritan, NJ. You will work in an engineering lab to develop test methods, design fixtures and prototyping components, and coordinate with team members and suppliers.

The role involves hands‑on lab work, literature reviews, and documentation of activities. Preferred majors include Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering with a GPA of 3.0.

Qualifications

• Must be a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student at an accredited college/university at the time of co‑op.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Excellent organization and documentation skills.
• Self‑starter with ability to work in a team environment.
• Experience with CAD drawings and prototyping is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabrication, and testing of prototypes using CAD and rapid prototyping.
• Create part, assembly, and drawing files in SolidWorks.
• Support process development and fixture/tooling development.
• Develop and execute test methods to characterize new products.
• Coordinate with marketing, suppliers and manufacturing site.
• Document activities and write technical reports.
