Qualifications

• Current student in Chemical Engineering/Material Science and Engineering/Bioengineering/Polymer Science and Engineering or equivalent
• 0 to 3 years with a BS in Engineering or Science related field
• Graduate school students encouraged to apply
• On-site work availability if required
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Statistical design and analysis of experiments (Minitab or similar)
• Must be authorized to work in the US without current or future sponsorship
• Remain enrolled throughout internship
• 40 hours/week
• Minimum GPA of 3
• No visa sponsorship needed for application or future work
• CPТ/OPT/STEM OPT may require sponsorship for long-term employment unless eligible for alternative status

Responsibilities

• Review progress and evaluate data; present results of multiple projects across functional groups
• Coordinate raw material and contact lens testing and protocol requirements to achieve project completion
• Facilitate and conduct engineering assignments involving business continuity and cost improvement
• Act as advocate for continuous improvement of technology and processes
• Adhere to environmental policy and support department environmental objectives
• Interact with internal teams and external suppliers domestically and internationally
