Job summary

Hayden Industrial, a leading manufacturer of industrial cooling systems, is seeking an R&D Engineer in Claremore, OK. You will lead assigned product lines from concept to launch, coordinating with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales to deliver innovative cooling solutions.

The role emphasizes application engineering, product line leadership, and strong collaboration across departments, with a focus on manufacturability and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years in HVAC/thermal equipment and cooling systems.
• Strong thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics knowledge.
• Experience with product development and cross-functional release processes.
• Familiarity with manufacturability and production readiness.
• CAD proficiency and thermal modelling experience.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, Sales, Quality, and customer teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in the application of air-cooled heat exchangers, dry coolers, CRAHs, and related air-cooled systems across core market sectors.
• Own product lifecycle for assigned product lines from concept through launch, market support, and ongoing improvement.
• Define product specifications, feature enhancements, and performance targets in alignment with business goals.
• Lead pricing, value positioning, and target margin logic for assigned product lines in coordination with Sales and leadership.
• Maintain ownership of roadmap priorities, product direction, and cross-functional decision-making.
• Help ensure manufacturability, cost targets, and production readiness prior to release.
