Job summary

Actalent is seeking an R&D Electromechanical Technician to work in a new laboratory, collaborating with engineers and technicians to design, assemble, test, and refine large prototype electromechanical systems. You will build electrical/mechanical hardware, perform RF-related tests, troubleshoot, and provide design feedback to improve performance and manufacturability.

You will interpret drawings and schematics, follow SOPs, maintain meticulous documentation, and support daily lab operations,

Qualifications

• 4+ years assembling, maintaining, testing, and repairing electromechanical systems.
• Experience with RF, radar, antenna, acoustic, and undersea hardware.
• Ability to read and refine work instructions, drawings, schematics, and docs.
• Strong problem-solving and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with soldering, crimping, tooling, and hardware assembly.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complex electrical and electromechanical components and systems for lab environments.
• Support RF hardware testing and troubleshooting with lab instruments.
• Read and implement technical drawings and schematics.
• Document design and manufacturing history accurately.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve designs and processes.
• Maintain safe, organized, and compliant lab spaces and equipment.
