Actalent Services is seeking a hands-on Electronics Test Technician to support the development, maintenance, and improvement of electronic test systems used in an engineering laboratory environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, building, and enhancing electronic and electro-mechanical systems while working alongside engineering teams on product development and testing initiatives.
In this role, you'll play a key part in creating and supporting custom test equipment, assembling prototypes, performing calibration and maintenance activities, and helping ensure reliable product testing. You'll gain exposure to product development, test engineering, and regulated industries while working on projects that directly impact innovative products.
What You'll Do
- Build, wire, assemble, and maintain electronic test systems and fixtures.
- Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to support test system development.
- Collaborate with engineers to transform design concepts into functional test equipment and prototypes.
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic test equipment and electro-mechanical systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, and validation activities on laboratory equipment.
- Support duplication and deployment of test systems for products, components, and assemblies.
- Ensure test equipment operates safely, accurately, and in compliance with established standards.
- Assist with sourcing and selecting electronic and mechanical components.
- Document maintenance activities, equipment updates, procedures, and user instructions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within test and development environments.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as an Electronics Technician, Electronic Test Technician, Engineering Technician, or similar technical role.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience troubleshooting electronic systems and test equipment.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments such as:
- Multimeters
- Power supplies
- Electronic test fixtures
- Strong electro-mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Experience performing equipment maintenance, calibration, or repair activities.
- Comfortable working in an engineering laboratory or technical testing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with PCB testing, electronic assemblies, or customized test fixtures.
- Exposure to medical devices, regulated products, or highly controlled manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with validation, calibration, quality, or compliance-related processes.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
