Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Livermore, CA, seeks an Electrical Engineer to join the W87-1 Systems team. You will support system-level integration, assembly, and testing of W87-1 Flight Test Vehicles, and work with USAF assets for Sentinel integration.

Role involves EFTU/DJTA10 USAF integration, ground and flight testing, and collaboration across hardware, software, mechanical, and aerospace domains. Onsite work is required with possible travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.
• Experience with electrical engineering tools and software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and Innovate: Create and design test equipment, subcomponents, cables, and hardware to meet performance standards for Flight Test Vehicles.
• Integrate Systems: Conduct requirements discovery, negotiation, and verification for mission objectives and missile compliance across engineering domains.
• Lead Technical Direction: Guide technologists and partners in assembly, calibration, troubleshooting, and operation of test equipment and instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot and Resolve: Identify root causes of anomalies during testing and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct Electrical Functional Testing: Prepare and operate testers, analyze telemetry data, and develop test assets.
• Develop Automated Solutions: Design automated test solutions for weapon systems and automate data processing of flight test data.
