Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an Early-Career R&D Electrical Engineer for the W87-1 Flight Test Vehicle program, based onsite in California. You will support system-level integration, assembly, and testing of W87-1 FTVs and coordinate with USAF range assets.

The role involves environmental and developmental testing, data analysis, and collaboration with multiple engineering domains. You will design test hardware, develop automated test assets, and contribute to procedures for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field demonstrating independent RD capability.
• DOE Q clearance ability.
• Graduate degree and independent research experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and innovate test equipment, cables, and hardware for Flight Test Vehicles.
• Integrate systems across hardware, software, mechanical, aerospace domains.
• Provide guidance in assembly, calibration, troubleshooting of test instrumentation.
• Identify root causes during testing and implement mitigations.
• Prepare and operate system testers; analyze telemetry data for engineering units.
• Develop automated test solutions and data processing for flight test data.
