Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a highly qualified R&D Systems Engineer to join the W93/Mk7 program as the Flight Test System Lead. You will drive the full spectrum of flight test activities, coordinating with external agencies and internal stakeholders to implement a comprehensive flight test strategy supporting design evaluation and long-term environmental assessment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with strong engineering or scientific background.
• Active DOE Q clearance or equivalent with ability to obtain Sigma 15 security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Execute flight test strategy coordinating with modeling, simulation, and ground test efforts.
• Lead development and sustainment of environmental flight body architectures.
• Oversee design and integration of flight bodies and JTA assets, troubleshoot issues.
• Develop verification plans ensuring missile compatibility and flight test requirements.
• Coordinate schedules, logistics, and range support; analyze flight data for mission success.
• Lead and allocate resources within the flight test team to meet program objectives.
