Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a R&D Co-op in the Wound Closure & Healing group in Raritan, NJ. The role involves hands-on lab work, PLM duties, and collaboration with engineers and external suppliers to drive device development in a multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university during the co-op session, pursuing a technical bachelor’s or master’s degree.
• A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred; strong organization and multitasking abilities are expected.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without future sponsorship is required.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on laboratory work in a chemistry or engineering lab.
• Performing studies and developing test methods and fixtures.
• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) of medical device products and combination products including Design Control and Design Verification/Validation.
• Good documentation practices, including writing test protocols, final reports, and meeting minutes.
• Generating models and drawings in SolidWorks.
• Data generation, analysis and statistical evaluation using Minitab.
• Crafting and evaluating prototypes.
• Attending and participating in voice-of-customer labs.
• Collaborating with engineers and external suppliers to support project activities.
