Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Co-Op in Wound Closure and Healing R&D to contribute to prototype devices and maturation of surgical technologies at our Raritan, NJ site. You will support engineers on active Ethicon Biosurgery projects, participate in team meetings, and perform testing and CAD-based design work.

The role requires undergrad status, 0–2 years’ experience, and a strong interest in mechanical/biomedical engineering with good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate Freshman year required.
• Pursuing Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Mechanical, Biomedical, Bio-engineering or related fields.
• GPA 2.8+ reflective of coursework.

Responsibilities

• Attend team meetings as necessary.
• Perform mechanical and laboratory testing, and post-testing analysis.
• Create/update parts, assemblies and drawings in CAD (SolidWorks).
• Write reports, test methods, and design control documentation.
• Complete engineering activities for multiple projects.
