Job summary

Johnson & Johnson's Ethicon, Inc. in Raritan, NJ is recruiting a 2027 Co-op / Intern for New Product Development in Wound Closure and Healing.

You will join a collaborative team of scientists and engineers addressing unmet needs in wound closure with antibacterial technologies and cardiovascular surgery. The role involves hands-on lab work, VOC labs with surgeons, and creating 3D models and test fixtures while documenting results.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a accredited university pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree for the internship duration.
• Preferred disciplines include Mechanical, Biomedical, Materials Science or Chemical Engineering.
• GPA 2.8+; 3.0+ preferred; Sophomore–Senior status during the academic year.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on laboratory work in engineering labs to support new product development.
• Design key project studies and accompany VOC labs with surgeons.
• Documentation of tests, write protocols, and generate final reports.
