Job summary

CSL Behring is seeking a senior leader to own R&D resource and schedule management, driving capacity planning, demand forecasting, and portfolio-aligned execution. The role builds governance, defines operating models, and leads cross-functional collaboration to optimize resource utilization.

You will develop standardized frameworks, mentor PMs, and deliver dashboards that quantify capacity vs demand, critical path risks, and scenario outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in R&D operations, capacity/resource management, or strategic planning.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-wide or global Centers of Excellence (CoEs) or transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Strategy & Continuous Improvement: Build and lead R&D Resource and Schedule Management capabilities with mission, governance, and operating model alignment.
• Define and evolve resource capacity and schedule management for R&D aligned to portfolio governance and delivery priorities.
• Establish and maintain an operating model for capacity, demand, and scheduling including roles and processes.
• Drive adoption of standard definitions (FTE, capacity, demand, baseline vs forecast schedule) and reporting conventions.
• Flag gaps, quantify impact, and develop options and scenarios; recommend paths forward (reallocation, sequencing, hiring, etc.).
• Produce dashboards and insights for R&D leadership on capacity vs demand, schedule health, milestone predictability, and risk scenarios.
• Escalate issues with evidence and proposed solutions; partner with PMO, Finance, HR, and functional leadership to integrate insights into decisions.
• Develop and deliver training for PMs and people managers on resource planning, demand entry, scheduling, dependencies, and reporting expectations.
• Facilitate alignment workshops to resolve resourcing conflicts and schedule trade-offs.
• Resource Capacity Management: Develop standardized frameworks for capacity forecasting, scenario planning, and resource allocation; ensure alignment with priorities and timelines.
• Review data to identify capacity shortfalls, bottlenecks, and misalignment; leverage data analytics to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement in resource management.
• Partner with functional leaders and people managers across R&D to align capacity planning with portfolio priorities and optimize resource utilization.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance visibility into resource utilization and drive process improvements across R&D functions.
• Establish KPIs and dashboards to monitor capacity health and resource performance; collaborate with HR and Finance on workforce planning and scaling.
