Job summary

The Boston Beer Company in Jamaica Plain, MA is seeking a motivated Co-op to join our Research & Development Brewery team, supporting brewing operations, sanitation programs, and innovation projects. This 6-month, on-site program offers hands-on experience in brewing science and quality systems within a pilot-scale R&D environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Brewing Science or related field.
• Must remain enrolled during the co-op program.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Understanding of GMPs and brewery sanitation principles.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily R&D brewery operations including brewing, fermentation, and production activities.
• Package samples and finished products for evaluation and internal review.
• Support projects through routine operational activities and documentation.
• Uphold cleanliness and sanitation of the brewery and equipment.
• Collect, organize, and analyze operational data for process improvement.
