Job summary

Precision Steel Services, a trusted steel supplier in the Midwest since 1974, is seeking a dedicated Quote Data Specialist to join our team in Toledo, OH. This in-person role supports sales and production by maintaining precise records, handling quote entries, and communicating with customers to ensure smooth data flow.

You will enter orders in the ERP system, review data for accuracy, and collaborate with multiple departments to meet customer specs and delivery requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience in a similar role preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute preferred.
• Proficiency with computers including email, Teams, and Excel.
• Mechanical or engineering mindset is a plus; reading technical prints is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Quoting & Pre-Sales Support: assist with accurate quotes and pre-sales support.
• Accurate Data Entry & Order Processing: enter orders in the ERP system with correct specs, quantities, pricing, and delivery.
• Customer Communication & Phone Reception: be the first point of contact for customers by phone and inquiries.
• Product & System Knowledge: learn steel types and ERP tools to stay current.
• Review & Edit Data: regularly update data for accuracy and integrity with management input.
• Documentation Management & Reporting: prepare and manage relevant documentation and reports.
• Problem Resolution & Quality Control: identify issues and ensure quality and satisfaction.
• Collaboration with Teams: align with departments on customer requirements.
• Compliance & Industry Standards: ensure orders meet standards and specs.
• Continuous Improvement: seek opportunities to improve data entry and office workflows.
• Other Related Duties: perform additional tasks as assigned.
