Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Coordinator - Quotations Department to support costing, quoting, pricing, and technical information. You will research multiple product lines and manufacturers to generate profitable quotations and foster repeat business from customers.

The role emphasizes preparing cost estimates, consulting with factories, and conducting competitive analysis to improve market position. Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm with pay of $30.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience required; 2+ years preferred depending on location.
• 2 year degree preferred.
• Knowledge of SAP and pricing strategies to generate quotations for profit.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates of materials and compile bills of materials.
• Consult with factories to obtain best-cost information and audit BOMs.
• Research customer requirements and product specs before submitting quotes.
• Analyze competitors to identify strategic opportunities for profitability.
• Draft accurate quotations under tight deadlines based on specs.
• Support change orders and job lot billing in select branches.
• Issue lists of quotes to sales for follow-up and take-offs.
• Assist promotions and initiatives across corporate, district, and branches.
• Maintain technical knowledge through training and relationship-building.
