Zusammenfassung

Momentive Technologies is seeking a Material Scientist to develop new quartz products and processes, leading cross-functional projects and validating new applications. You will drive IP generation and coordinate transfer from bench to production with Manufacturing, Quality, and EHS teams.

You will apply Six Sigma and advanced materials characterization to improve processes, collaborating across suppliers and customers to meet market demands.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in Material Science & Engineering or Glass Science; 0–2 years industry experience.
• Expertise in high-temperature processing equipment for quartz, glass or ceramics.
• Proficient in statistical design and analysis including DOE, hypothesis testing and Gage R&R.
• Strong project management for delivering new product/process tech on time and budget.
• Ability to collaborate with manufacturing, suppliers and customers.
• Hands-on work in an industrial environment with PPE.

Aufgaben

• Lead new product intro projects with cross-functional teams and validation partners.
• Conduct IP research, feasibility testing, prototyping, gauge development and pilot testing.
• Support scale-up and transfer of technology with Manufacturing, Quality and EHS.
• Develop cost models, manage budgets, and document manufacturing procedures.
• Generate IP such as patents, publications, and internal reports.
• Provide manufacturing technical support for high-temperature processing of quartz materials.
