Momentive Technologies is seeking an Advanced Research and Development Engineer to drive new quartz product development and high-temperature processing innovations. You will lead cross-functional efforts from bench concepts to scalable manufacturing, delivering breakthrough materials for semiconductor and related industries.

The role requires an advanced degree in chemical engineering or materials science, 5+ years of hands-on experience, and strong expertise in NPI Stage-Gate processes, DOE,

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or Materials Science & Engineering.
• 5+ years of hands-on industry experience.
• Experience with NPI Stage-Gate processes.
• Experience transferring production scale equipment to manufacturing.
• Proficiency with high-temperature processing equipment.
• Experience with DOE and statistical methods.
• Ability to travel internationally up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop new quartz products and processes to meet market demands.
• Lead new product introduction projects with cross-functional teams.
• Prototype, pilot testing, gauge development, and scale-up to manufacturing.
• Apply project management in planning, budgeting, and risk management.
• Generate intellectual property through patents and publications.
• Support manufacturing technical aspects of high temperature processing of ceramics and accuracy machining.
• Utilize Six Sigma, statistics, and quality tools for process improvement.
