Job summary

Intel Corporation's Quantum Computing Group seeks a Quantum Design Engineer to scale qubit processors from concept to tapeout and fab readiness. You will collaborate with qubit, control, and PDK teams to implement qubit PDKs, design rules, and automated flows for large-scale quantum processors.

The role requires hands-on EM modeling, standard cell design, PDK collateral, and design automation tools, plus TCL/Python scripting. Cross-disciplinary collaboration drives innovation in quantum hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience, Master's with 3 years, or Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Cryogenic Engineering, Quantum Technologies, or related field.
• Experience with EM modeling and simulation tools for high-speed/high-density interconnects and crosstalk analysis.
• Experience with standard cell design and design automation flows; ability to script and configure APR tools with TCL.

Responsibilities

• Establish qubit processes and design rules with lithography, process integration, measurement, and PDK engineers.
• Architect qubit/readout standard cell design and automation; collaborate with quantum software and control teams.
• Perform signal integrity analysis and design tradeoffs for qubit topology and large-scale routing.
