Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Milwaukee is seeking a Quality Technician to maintain quality standards through inspections of products. Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Role and Responsibilities
  1. Maintain quality standards by inspecting incoming product, in-process production, and finished product.
  2. Record, interpret, and report inspection results.
  3. Support daily operations of the department.
  4. Follow written procedures and use inspection equipment in compliance with APT Quality Management System.
  5. Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished goods by confirming specifications through visual and dimensional tests per part inspection plans.
  6. Document inspection results by completing reports and logs.
  7. Communicate quality inspection failures to Supervisors.
  8. Use and read measuring devices (tapes, calipers, etc.) to complete product inspections.
  9. Read and follow blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and other documents to determine inspection standards.
  10. Audit and assess quality documentation for accuracy and recommend improvements.
  11. Assist with training new inspectors as necessary.
  12. Ensure ongoing success of company housekeeping and organization objectives.
  13. Comply with all safety rules and company policies of APT.
  14. Perform other duties to achieve departmental and company goals.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Quality Assurance or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read and understand production documents, blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for technical decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable with computer-based inspection programs and logs.
Preferred Skills
  • 2-3 years minimum experience in Quality Assurance/Control.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience with ISO quality management systems or similar.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Excellent vision.
  • Stand for extended periods.
Work Environment

The environment is a fast-paced manufacturing job-shop with a variety of tasks.
