Custom Wire Technologies (CWT) is a leading OEM medical component manufacturer with over 50 years of industry experience. Our services include wire coiling, grinding, forming, custom fine wire design, fine wire welding, laser processing, and manufacturing process validation. We seek a detail-oriented individual to join our team and uphold the highest product quality standards.

Overview

Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Technician supports quality control processes, ensuring products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements. The role involves inspection, testing, and documentation, primarily using precision measuring instruments and gauges.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished parts, ensuring compliance and completing inspection reports.
  2. Develop quality and inspection plans from design drawings in accordance with ISO 13485.
  3. Program and operate Vision System inspection machines; utilize tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  4. Analyze and interpret blueprints; determine gauge and fixture requirements.
  5. Analyze quality data, identify issues, and assist in resolving manufacturing problems.
  6. Support the enforcement of the Quality System and participate in audits.
  7. Identify corrective and preventative actions.
  8. Assist in developing and implementing procedures to promote lean operations.
  9. Conduct training on quality procedures.
  10. Recognize, report, and correct errors.
  11. Maintain regular attendance.
Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of related quality experience in manufacturing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and methodologies.
  • Proficiency with inspection tools and reading technical drawings/blueprints.
  • Ability to develop and write work instructions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.

Preferred:

  • Quality Certificate or Associate's degree in Quality.
  • Experience with Keyence, Micro Vu, or in the medical device field.
  • Experience in a job shop manufacturing environment.

Job Hours

Primarily 2 pm to 10 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime. Other shifts are available; travel is not required.
