Donaldson is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician in Dixon, IL to inspect materials and in-process aerospace/industrial components, ensuring compliance with engineering requirements and special instructions. This 1st shift role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm, with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.
The candidate should have an Associate’s Degree or 3 years QA experience, strong measurement skills, ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with MS Office.

The Quality Assurance Technician position is located in Dixon, IL and will inspect materials received, work in process of aerospace and industrial components, ensuring conformance to engineering requirements, specifications and special instructions. This is a 1st shift position, Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm.
Understand, maintain and execute Donaldson Quality Policies and Procedures
Responsible for the creation of AP/QP Documentation
Point of contact for document control
Ability to run and program CMM
Create and maintain FAI’s
Create and maintain “In-Process Inspection Reports” electronically
Inspect manufactured product for uniformity, conformance and record
Verify physical and chemical properties of materials used in the manufacturing process
Complete non-conforming material reports
Associate’s Degree or 3 years Quality Technician Experience
Demonstrate analytical reasoning, problem-solving skills, development of technical skills, and innovative solutions
Calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumferences, volume and concepts of geometry
Ability to read and understand blueprints
Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Use internet and e-mail system, and is proficient with MS Office applications
Bachelor’s Degree
Functional knowledge of electronic material management systems
Manufacturing experience
