Job summary

Donaldson Company Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician in Dixon, IL. The role focuses on inspecting materials and in-process parts for conformance to specifications, while maintaining quality records and documentation.

This is a first-shift position, Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm. Responsibilities include running and programming a CMM, generating FAI and in-process reports, and ensuring compliance with quality policies.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or 3 years Quality Technician Experience.
• Demonstrate analytical reasoning, problem-solving skills, development of technical skills, and innovative solutions.
• Read and understand blueprints; use calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Understand, maintain and execute Donaldson Quality Policies and Procedures.
• Create and maintain AP/QP Documentation; be point of contact for document control.
• Ability to run and program CMM; create and maintain FAI’s and In-Process Inspection Reports.
• Inspect manufactured product for uniformity, conformance and record; verify material properties.

The Quality Assurance Technician position is located in Dixon, IL and will inspect materials received, work in process of aerospace and industrial components, ensuring conformance to engineering requirements, specifications and special instructions. This is a 1st shift position, Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm.

Role Responsibilities:

• Understand, maintain and execute Donaldson Quality Policies and Procedures
• Responsible for the creation of AP/QP Documentation
• Point of contact for document control
• Ability to run and program CMM
• Create and maintain FAI’s
• Create and maintain "In-Process Inspection Reports" electronically
• Inspect manufactured product for uniformity, conformance and record
• Verify physical and chemical properties of materials used in the manufacturing process
• Complete non-conforming material reports

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree or 3 years Quality Technician Experience
• Demonstrate analytical reasoning, problem-solving skills, development of technical skills, and innovative solutions
• Calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumferences, volume and concepts of geometry
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Use internet and e-mail system, and is proficient with MS Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Functional knowledge of electronic material management systems
• Manufacturing experience

Hourly Rate: $21.51

Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, and performance.

This position is eligible for an annual incentive plan based on performance and company growth.
